Procurement Manager Job at Pollock & Associates

• Reporting to the Head of Operations, Southern Africa, this role leads end-to-end procurement for a well-established international group, with imports at its core. You drive the planning, freight and supplier performance that keep product available across multiple African markets.

What you will own

• Demand-plan-driven purchasing and MRP execution across a large, long-tail SKU portfolio
• Inventory value, ITR, fill rates, first-pick availability and obsolete stock
• Inbound ocean and air freight, customs compliance and export coordination
• A team of MRP Controllers and Import/Export staff

What you bring

• Tertiary qualification in Logistics or Supply Chain
• 5+ years’ supply chain experience, including 3+ years managing people
• Automotive, industrial or technical distribution experience preferred
• You own the stock, not just the purchase order
• You manage performance and discipline with confidence, not avoidance

Your technical toolkit

• ERP/MRP systems, order book management and S&OP
• Hands-on ownership of 3,000+ SKUs
• Strong analytical and numerical accuracy
