Procurement Supervisor

• The Procurement Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the procurement activities of the organization to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.
• This role manages procurement staff, coordinates purchasing strategies, ensures compliance with company policies, and fosters strong supplier relationships. The Procurement Supervisor plays a key role in inventory control, vendor management, and cost savings initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily procurement operations and a team of buyers or procurement officers.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company goals.
• Review and approve purchase requisitions and purchase orders to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for best value in terms of quality, price, and delivery.
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards.
• Analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
• Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., Finance, Warehouse, Operations, Sales) to ensure smooth flow supply.
• Resolve any supply-related issues, delays, or discrepancies.
• Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, savings, and performance metrics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferrable.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
• Professional certification (e.g., CIPS, CPSM, PMP) is a plus.
