What You’ll Do for The Brand:
- Maintain all current betting platforms (Mobi site, website, USSD) by identifying shortfalls and introducing new features and solutions.
- Provide overall leadership and direction in the development of betting platforms.
- Identify new innovations and conduct competitor assessments.
- Develop and drive software development project plans and specifications, estimate time requirements, establish deadlines, monitor milestone completion, track all phases throughout implementation, provide timely reporting of issues that impact project progress, and coordinate actions.
- Ensure the enhancement of the Mobi site, Website, Syx, Refer a Friend, TUV, and other company products while improving functionality for the end users of these applications.
- Evaluate consumer understanding and insights, consumer experience with the brand, and identify possible enhancements where required.
- Conduct competitor analysis and report findings.
- Lead product testing before release to the live environment.
- Maintain market awareness and strong relationship management abilities.
- Identify root causes of customer and audit queries and propose ways and initiatives to reduce specific customer/audit queries, based on the nature of the query.
- Perform any other ad hoc duties as required.
- Communicate with departments to identify work shortfalls and areas where the development team can assist in improving work processes.
- Assist and advise developers and software architects on how an application should work, what needs to be met, and define the flow and user interface by providing Business Requirement Documents (BRDs).
- Conduct and supervise group testing of complete applications and software.
- Identify and eliminate factors within the applications that may pose a risk to the business.
- Conduct market research and contribute to product development.
- Develop new business ideas and improve current business work practices.
- Contribute to creating user manuals for system applications.
- Work closely with betting traders to ensure the desired GGR margins are met, implementing measures and strategies to correct instances where this objective is not met.
- Address all betting-related queries from clients.
- Analyse risks and fraud related to the product.
- Analyse the relevance and accuracy of odds.
- Highlight high-risk or high-spend/win clients.
- Define functionality required for the front and back end of SyX, Mobi site/web.
- Report on product performance and metrics.
- Assist with the completion of BRDs for integration and enhancements.
- Perform testing on functionality and odds of all product releases.
- Act as a key link between Software Development and the business.
- Negotiate commercials relating to the product.
- Create BRDs in collaboration with the Betting Product Owner.
- Perform full-cycle testing of product functionality and odds.
- Drive marketing plans for the product within iBranch/retail.
- Ensure sufficient handover to the Betting Product Owner before a live release.
- Review contracts, seeking additional value or reductions in commercials.
- Set up strategic meetings with partners to grow figures, implement strategies, and add products.
- Manage compliance for GB approvals across all provinces.
