Production Foreman Delmas needed at Astral Foods Ltd

The ideal candidate would be responsible for:

• Coordinating production through supervision of staff and equipment
• Manage plant efficiency.
• Ensuring quality feed production.
• Ensuring compliance with company’s risk control policies.
• Measuring Key Performance Indictors for continuous improvement

The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:

• A minimum of Grade 12 and a formal Production qualification would be an advantage.
• 3 Years in the feed industry with proven production and supervisory experience.
• The ideal candidate should have knowledge of an automated plant and PLC systems (i.e. Wonder ware, PLC Networking, In-touch).
• Good understanding of quality systems – ISO 9001, ISO 2200, HACCP, 20 Keys
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, as well as problem solving and planning skills are required.
• Good reporting skills regarding plant efficiencies and optimization.
• Proficient in both Afrikaans and English.
• Must have an eye for detail with regards to housekeeping and safety.
• Quality driven, responsible and use own initiative.
• The ability to build a strong production team, train and develop staff, together with personal and professional integrity are key requirements.
• Computer literate –MS Office.
