Minimum Requirements

  • Matric (Standard 10) or recognized equivalent qualification with maths
  • Diploma in production management, business management, supply chain or related field
  • 3-5 years’ experience working in a similar role in a lean manufacturing plant

Duties and Responsibilities

Production Planning:

  • Ensure plan is updated daily/weekly/monthly: Daily updating of plan vs actual.
  • Ensure KPI’s are communicated to all impacted departments.
  • Ensure that OTIF of 98% is achieved.
  • Investigating and communicating yield losses / gains: Daily/weekly/monthly
  • Production planning on SAP to timeously meet business demand requirements within inventory management targets, product allergens, product colour impact and optimize on efficiency constraints. 
  • Effective communication of any constraint impacting on our business units within Nando’s Feitoria.
  • Measurement and communication of production plan adherence APT%, and by SKU MPS% and mandatory attendance of all production meetings and co-ordination thereof.

Daily Tasks

  • Daily reporting of issues experienced.
  • Daily releasing of production orders for production.
  • Daily creation of production orders to check materials.
  • Run MB52 and COOIS for Customer Service
  • Creating and releasing of production orders using transaction CO01
  • Attend daily production meetings and provide SC with feedback via email. 
  • Reporting material shortages to customer services with tentative production dates.
  • Updating production status report and ensuring all production orders are goods receipted and confirmed within 48hrs
  • Ordering of all vegetable, oil and vinegar requirements for the facility to ensure that production is not impacted.

Weekly Tasks:

  • Weekly summary of plan and output.
  • Confirming a minimum of one week’s plan to the Production/Warehouse group leaders.
  • Reporting the weekly ATP achieved with root causes and corrective actions where applicable.
  • Attend NPD meetings to ensure smooth process flow for trials/launches and communicate to material planners the dates and material requirements
  • Provide customer service with a status report for all orders with tentative production dates/availability dates.
  • Consolidate the Open Orders vs Production report weekly to ensure all orders are planned and accounted for.

Monthly Tasks:

  • Prepare and lead Capacity Review.
  • Create monthly production plan in SAP for Material Planner to check missing parts.
  • Update monthly KPI’s (ATP and Yield Loss)
  • Ensure master data is updated and conduct spot checks.
  • Ensuring production plan meets capacity of plant and communicating the deficits to customer services, operations and supply chain teams.

Safety and Quality:

  • Closely following Safety, Quality will also receive highest priority.
  • Report non-conformances immediately to Quality department and ensure that immediate corrective action is taken.
  • Ensure that all production is scheduled following allergen control matrix.
  • Ensuring a high standard of safety and good housekeeping and that plant & activities complies with conditions stipulated within the OHS Act.
  • Report incidents (Injuries and losses) in the section.

Adhoc:

  • Updating material master’s for finished goods and house blends
  • Create routings for new materials
  • Ensure non – conformances are addressed and new production orders are executed to meet customer delivery date.
  • Reevaluate Capacity checks due to additional orders.
