The requirements for this challenging position include:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience preferably in the education field with a suitable professional qualification
- Previous involvement in schools or educational community engagement programmes
- Experience in educational leadership, assessment and moderation, monitoring and evaluation
- A sound and progressive understanding of the South African education context
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including report writing
- Exceptional planning and organising skills with attention to detail regarding day-to-day operational running of the programme
- Passion for the development of the teaching profession
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with a wide range of stakeholders within the Waterberg District
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise and work independently
- Experience in project management
- High level of integrity and confidentiality
- Flexibility to work outside of normal office hours including Saturdays
- A willingness to work within the values, Christian ethos and mission of the College
- Any staff member working within a school is required to have a sexual offender’s clearance certificate.
- Registration with SACE
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Implementation and monitoring of the Initial Teacher Intern Training Programme within the Waterberg District
- Regular liaison with the relevant staff and schools to ensure effective implementation of the programmes
- Assist Thandulwazi in overseeing the organic growth of the programme.
- Overseeing the professional aspects of the programme: ensuring that the standards of academic excellence and training are upheld
- Working with Thandulwazi to ensure accurate reporting and monitoring of the programme
- Willingness to gain knowledge in new educational programmes and applications for possible implication to enhance the programm e (open to learn new skills, growing and developing the programme)
- Monitoring and evaluation including visits to community partner schools
