Programme Officer – Home-Grown Solutions Accelerator needed at AUDA – NEPAD

Required Skills and Competencies

• Good project cycle management, operational and organisational skills.
• Ability to listen and co-develop solutions to the resourcing needs of African MSMEs.
• Proven experience developing proposals, concept notes and resource mobilising from relevant development partners.
• Works collaboratively with colleagues to achieve organizational goals.
• Knowledge and understanding of theories, concepts and approaches relevant to Africa’s development priorities and goals.
• Knowledge of various research methodologies and sources, including electronic sources on the internet, intranet, and other databases.
• Ability to identify and contribute to the solution of problems/issues.
• Good analytical, planning, and organisational skills.
• Team player, able to deliver outputs for which one has responsibility within the prescribed time, cost and quality standards.
• Previous experience working with high-level, demanding counterparts, under pressure and against tight deadlines.

Education and Experience

• Candidates must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Engineering, Business Administration, Development Studies, Social Sciences or a related field, with at least one (1) year of relevant experience in fostering enterprise development, enhancing agricultural product value chains, facilitating access to finance, and fostering market linkage and expansion initiatives within the public sector, multilateral institutions, and international non-governmental or similar organisations regionally and/or internationally.
