Required Academic Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree / Advanced Diploma / B. Tech degree on NQF level 7 in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Project management certification would be an advantage.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in project management, with demonstrable evidence of successful project delivery in a team environment.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid approaches)
Required Competencies
- Knowledge of project management software (MS Project, Primavera, or similar)
- Excellence in stakeholder management and communication
- risk management and problem-solving capabilities
- Proven leadership and team management abilities
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Expertise in project governance and compliance
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to multi-task within a tight deadline environment.
Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of assigned projects, ensuring delivery within scope, time, budget, and quality parameters.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including work breakdown structures, schedules, resource allocation, and risk management strategies
- Lead project teams effectively, providing direction, motivation, and performance management
- Support the management of project budget including cost control and financial reporting.
- Conduct stakeholder analysis and maintain effective communication with all project stakeholders.
- Implement and maintain project governance frameworks and methodologies
- Lead project meetings and status update sessions
- Manage project risks and issues, developing and implementing mitigation strategies
- Create and present project reports and presentations as may be required.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the project management framework
- Mentor junior project team members and contribute to building project management capability
- Perform other duties that may be assigned.
