Project Manager CA (SA) – Accounts Payable needed at Accounting and Financial Advisory

Job Overview:

• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager with a Chartered Accountant (South Africa) qualification to lead and oversee our Accounts Payable function within the public sector organization. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working with Oracle financial systems and managing complex projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Accounts Payable team, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments
• Develop and implement processes and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy in Accounts Payable functions
• Work closely with other departments to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
• Collaborate with IT teams to manage Oracle financial system configurations and enhancements
• Monitor and analyze Accounts Payable performance metrics and make strategic recommendations for improvements
• Lead and participate in cross-functional project teams to implement new financial systems or process improvements
• Provide regular updates and reporting to senior management on the status of Accounts Payable projects and initiatives

Qualifications:

• Chartered Accountant (South Africa) qualification
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable management in a public sector organization
• Strong experience working with Oracle financial systems
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects within a fast-paced environment
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Strong communication and leadership abilities
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Knowledge of public sector financial regulations and compliance requirements
