Purpose Statement
- To identify and address the legal, practical and commercial risks and requirements in lease agreements for branches and Campus buildings
Experience
Minimum:
- At least 1-3 years’ experience in a legal environment in retail or property as a qualified attorney.
- Negotiation of contractual terms
Ideal:
- Similar experience in leasing within a property and / or project management environment
Qualifications (Minimum)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law
Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)
- Masters Degree in Law
Knowledge
Minimum:
- Law of Contracts, specifically lease agreements
- Commercial know how (business acumen, how organisations work)
Ideal:
- Retail leasing knowledge
Skills
- Attention to Detail
- Communications Skills
- Computer Literacy (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook)
- Interpersonal & Relationship management Skills
- Negotiation skills
Conditions of Employment
- Clear criminal and credit record
