Provincial Media and Research Officer – Gauteng needed at Democratic Alliance

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Providing effective and reliable background research, information and knowledge framework pertaining to policies, the political landscape, and issues of importance
• Providing high-quality written material and copy for DA communications in Gauteng
• Assisting in selling media content and press releases to both national and local media
• Assisting in promoting the DA in online and electronic media
• Assisting in ensuring standards of excellence are pursued and maintained in the creation and promotion of DA communications material in Gauteng

Minimum requirements:

• National Senior Certificate or equivalent 
• Relevant qualification (advantageous)
• Experience in an area of study where research and writing abilities are essential, including journalism, law, history, education, or a related field
• Experience in marketing, communication and online, electronic and social media (advantageous)
• Basic knowledge of online, electronic and social media
• Basic understanding of data and research
• Computer literacy, particularly MS Office Suite
• Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle for daily business-related use
