Ready to dive into the world of purchasing at a global beauty leader? As a Purchasing Intern at our Midrand Factory, you’ll gain practical experience in managing procurement processes and contributing to strategic sourcing initiatives. Here’s a glimpse of what you can expect:

  • Vendor Master Data: Maintain and update vendor master data, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Vendor Onboarding: Manage the onboarding process for new vendors, verifying compliance with L’Oréal policies.
  • Sourcing & Procurement Systems: Utilize mySourcing and SAP for referencing and operational routines.
  • Spend Analysis: Conduct monthly spend analysis, identifying and reporting any anomalies.
  • RFQ Management: Prepare and launch Requests for Quotation (RFQs) in alignment with stakeholders.
  • Risk Management: Evaluate and manage risks related to purchasing, escalating issues as needed.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Liaise between suppliers, internal departments, and customers to ensure effective communication.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Identify potential suppliers, build relationships with existing suppliers, and conduct supplier visits.
  • EHS Leadership: Sensitize suppliers on Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) requirements and encourage reporting.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum B-Degree in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management/CIPS or equivalent.
  • 0-3 years of working experience in Purchasing.
  • Experience in Packaging and Development environment preferred (FMCG or Manufacturing a plus).
