Qualified teacher for Homeschooling family needed at Human Accent

About the Role:

• Our client is seeking a passionate and experienced qualified Teacher to join their Family in providing a nurturing and enriching educational environment for 4 primary school learning age. This role involves teaching and guiding students in the age range 6-12 years of age, specifically grades 1,3,4 and 7, and in a variety of subjects. The candidate will be working alongside the mother of the Family, who will also be involved in teaching the children.

Responsibilities:

• Delivering engaging lessons, aligned with the curriculum called Classical Conversations (CC) and Sonlight (Both are American-based curriculums).
• Creating a positive and supportive learning environment.
• Assessing student progress and providing feedback.
• Communicate with parents about student progress and any concerns.

Requirements:

• MUST be able to teach intermediate math, English and science.
• SACE registration number
• Strong academic background and teaching experience, with a relevant teaching qualification /degree.
• Passion for teaching and a genuine interest in working with children.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to individual learning styles.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Preferably be computer literate and able to teach the basics of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Assisting children in using the internet to research topics for assignments and orals.
