Quality Control Inspector needed at Lactalis South Africa

Job Description

• This role is a Critical role in production as the role has been created to support in the reduction of NQLS and unsterilized in the production area and ensure good quality product

Required Skills    

• National Diploma or equivalent
• ND in either food technology or natural science or equivalent qualification
• Computer literate – Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• 1 – 2 years experiences in Quality assurance and control
• High attention to detail
• Ability to communicate well with staff
• Strict with implementing standards
• Exceptional organisational skills; and Ability to sustain routine administration

Duties & Responsibilities    

• Analyse possible reasons for product defects and compile reports;
• Verify quality control (QC) records, test results and reports;
• Conduct verification checks on production records and validate processes;
• Liaise with production to implement root cause analysis for each non-conformance detected
• File daily records
• Assist with internal and external audits
• Releasing/approval & restriction of products
• Data capturing of results & info for the various reports
• Online quality checks and monitor defects
• Monitor Repacking process, record and draw up reports on defects and do trend analysis
• Improvement and maintenance of housekeeping, cleaning and sanitation throughout the facility
• Assist in customer & consumer complaint investigation
• Open and investigate NCR`s with production and maintenance
• Conduct process audits to ensure process is in control
• Release the line for production and conduct line clearances
• Monitor Implementation of action plans and reports progress
• Ensure that all non-conforming products is identifies and cut off times determined
