Purpose Statement

To optimise Client Engagement and Experience initiatives and the financial performance of the Bank in line with the ROE and profitability targets through:

  • Calculating and quantifying the value relating to client engagement and experience.
  • Supporting Executive and Senior management in data driven decision making.
  • To support the quantitative analytics discipline within Marketing & Communications.
  • To coordinate with the Credit, Operations, Financial, Data, Profitability, Propensity, Marketing and other relevant departments to ensure a holistic approach to enhancing long term business & client lifetime value.

Experience

Minimum

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a Financial Services Environment, in an Analyst capacity.

Ideal

  • 5+ years’ experience in a Financial Services Environment, in an Analyst capacity
  • Experience with SAS, SQL & Excel at an expert level.

Qualifications (Minimum)

  • A relevant post-graduate qualification in Statistics or Mathematics

Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)

  • Masters Degree in Finance or Commerce

Knowledge

Minimum

  • Predictive analytics and machine learning in the context of articulating business requirements
  • Statistical software (ex. SAS, R, Python, SQL)
  • Database querying software (ex. SQL)
  • Cloud computing (ex. AWS, Azure, Hadoop, Spark)
  • Business acumen with regards to predictive modelling, financial modelling and IT systems / coding design
  • Project management principles
  • Advanced MS Excel
