Minimum Requirements
Qualification(s):

• Senior Artisan (dry trade) Trade Certificate in Mechanical Engineering at NQF4 with 120 credits
• Registration of a Lifting Machine Inspector (LMI) Qualification

Experience:

• 2 Years’ Practical experience in a technical environment

Skills and Competencies
Mechanical:

• Drawing, developing, fabricating new design proposals, devices, mechanical parts and components according to specifications.

Knowledge of:

• Eskom standards, procedures, directives and guidelines
• Power plant specific transformer, auxiliary, switchgear theoretical knowledge at the required level
• Quality management International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) 9001 and 14001
• Emergency response and safety
