Readvertisement: Laboratory Assistant in the Department of Zoology and Entomology needed at Rhodes University

Main Objectives

• To assist the researchers in conducting laboratory quality assurance analyses including screening for disease organisms and bioassays and to assist with the maintenance of the insect cultures housed in the Centre for Biological Control.

The Requirements

Relevant qualification: Grade 12, preferably with Biology and/or Science and 6 months’ relevant experience where such experience includes: –

• Previous experience working in a scientific laboratory (candidates with lab experience as part of post-school qualification may also be considered)
• Must be in possession of a valid driver’s license
