As a Reeler Assistant #2 Uptakes you will be responsible for:
- Operate the reel conveyer safely and efficiently
- Move reels onto the scale for weighing purposes, then onto the conveyors to be transported to the pulp slab for storage
- Label reels effectively with printed labels.
- Perform set functions as directed by the Process Operator
- Perform general cleaning of the relevant machines and equipment during shut downs or as times permits
- Report all equipment failures and abnormal plant conditions
- Use and understand all best practices related to the position and equipment being operated
- Perform all duties as requested by the Process Operator or the Shift Superintendent
- Identification; communication and mitigation of risks
What are we looking for?
- Matric with Maths and Science, or an N3 Engineering Studies, or N3 Pulp and Paper.
- At least 6 months of relevant experience in a production environment.
