About the Role
This high-RPM technical role manages workshop data and ensures 100% compliance with automotive safety and quality standards during vehicle reconditioning. Utilizing SAP for inventory tracking and ServiceNow for maintenance orchestration, the assistant reduces operational risk in the repair lifecycle. Their role leverages data-driven insights to optimize workshop turnover and ensures the technical reliability of the group’s national pre-owned vehicle stock.
Role Description
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with both major and minor vehicle repairs under the guidance of workshop staff.
- Follow up with outsourced suppliers to track progress on external repair work and ensure timely completion.
- Order and monitor stock of parts required for repairs, ensuring availability for scheduled work.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in line with health and safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with other departments regarding vehicles that require or are undergoing repairs.
- Provide general administrative and operational support to the workshop team.
Role Requirements
- Minimum Education: Matric/Grade 12.
- Experience: Prior workshop or automotive experience will be an advantage.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle parts and repairs.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
