Minimum Requirements
Qualification and experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree: Social Sciences or equivalent – Essential.
- Post Graduate Qualification in Statistics – Advantageous
- Minimum 3-4 years’ experience
- Applicant must have comprehensive knowledge and experience in conducting quantitative, qualitative and hybrid research.
- Experience in using statistical software, e.g., SPSS, Survey System, Survey Monkey, etc.)
Primary Duties
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative research
- Participate in standardised and customised research activities within the organisation. This may include pre-engaging clients to determine specific needs.
- Contribute to the design of research instruments
- Use customised research instruments to execute research projects.
- Utilise statistical programmes (e.g. Survey System, SPSS, Survey Monkey, etc.) to execute research projects
- Manage fieldwork and collect data
- Collect data through multiple platforms e.g. online, telephone, face-to-face, etc.
- Overall capability to utilise online platforms to execute a research project i.e. electronically distribute a survey, collect, analyse and interpret data, produce and publish findings
- Perform quality control
- Travel to Rand Water sites to conduct fieldwork
- Capture and analyse data
- Produce data tables
- Prepare insightful presentations and reports
- Capture notes and other relevant information as a participant during presentations and workshops
- The incumbent may be involved in external vendor selection processes
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders in the execution of research projects
- May present research findings to appropriate audiences
- Awareness of budget management
