YOUR TALENT

  • A degree/diploma in Retail Management/Fashion Buying or a related qualification.
  • At least three years’ experience as a Buyer within a retail clothing and/ or footwear environment
  • An eye for detail
  • Financial and Commercial mindset
  • MS Office Skills (advanced Excel)
  • The ability to work both independently and within a team
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • A clear understanding of market trends and the retail clothing environment.

YOUR MISSION

The Retail Buyer is responsible for the execution and implementation of the apparel merchandising function, driving the local retail range in both full price and outlet stores and ecommerce, in line with the seasonal retail merchandising strategy and plan.

They will be responsible for selecting competitive seasonal product ranges based on research, customer demand, data analysis, market trends and financial budgets. The buying selection will be made from a broader selection determined by the Merchandising Team.

The Retail Buyer will keep up to date with the apparel market and will be able to react to trends and adapt to changes, ensuring a product range that satisfies the end consumer.

KPI’s

  • Select the apparel product ranges in order to achieve the strategy and plan.
  • Manage the product life cycle
  • Align product promotions with stock availability and ensure marketing support
  • Develop the seasonal strategy in line with the Retail Merchandise Manager
  • Range building and differentiating of stores through grading
  • Analysis of past sales and inventory to anticipate future product and sales, and analysis of stock flow.
  • Accountable for buy spend
  • Remain up to date with trends, through travel and research.
