Retail Network Development Manager – Corporate Office needed at The Building Company

• Responsible for recruiting new independent retailers to the BUYCO Buying Group as well as developing initiatives within the Independent Retailer Division to maximise sales, profitability and ROI.

Job Description

• Business Expansion – Conduct market research, monitor competitive landscape and create a database of Independent Retailers throughout Southern Africa which should be targeted to become members of BUYCO
• Project Management – Create an operationalise merchandising solutions that will assist independent retailers to drive sustainable growth and improve the return on investment on all categories. Tailor solutions for independent retailers and future franchisees needs, whilst improving best practice standards
• Market Analysis – Conduct market research to identify market trends, consumer behaviour in the building material retail sector. Monitor and report on market conditions and provide strategic leadership to the BUYCO team
• Financial Analysis – Develop and manage budgets for Independent Retail Operations. Monitor financial performance, profitability and risk to ensure cost effective operations and sustainable returns
• Stakeholder Engagement – Build and maintain relationships with existing participants of the BUYCO group and future Franchisee operations. Assist with negotiating lease agreements and terms with property owners and other stakeholders on behalf of Independent Retailers.
• Represent the Company in negotiating and meeting with external partners

Job Requirements

• Grade 12
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Real Estate, or a related field
• 5 years’ experience in retail development, project management, or a similar role in the retail industry
