- Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Cybersecurity or a related field.
- CRISC certification.
- Administration qualification (advantageous).
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Previous experience or exposure to Information Security or Infrastructure Related departments (advantageous).
- Experience in risk administration and user access management document processing.
- Working knowledge of the operational procedures in a Security Operations department.
- Collaborate efficiently with Team Members to handle the administration of client requests and complaints.
- Good report-writing skills.
- Analysing and interpreting risk-related data to assist in driving desired outcomes.
- Accuracy and precision when entering data into the system.
- Good communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office.
What You’ll Do:
- Monitor and track monthly risk register.
- Collaborate with risk owners to assess whether risks still exist and help document and rate them (likelihood and impact).
- Gather and compile comprehensive reports on IT Risk for distribution and review.
- Attend to administration requirements for External Audits to ensure compliance with regulations and internal standards.
- Keep record of stolen laptops for ICASE and capture on loss capture tool.
- Capture of other IT incidences or losses when required.
- Preparation and facilitation Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery Plan.
- Building collaborative relationships with external stakeholders through effective and open communication.
- Notify IT managers, system owners of pending cases so that they are aware of possible risk or threats.
- Notify Technical Support if technicians need to inspect attacked or at-risk devices.
- Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance processes, systems and policies, supporting implementation of new initiatives.
- Perform ad hoc duties as assigned and directed by the Security Operations Lead from time to time.
- Delivering all ad hoc risk requests in a timely manner.
- Keep the database updated with all changes to BET Software related information relevant to Risk and Compliance.
- Assist in the completion of risk acceptance forms and ensure proper documentation for all risk management activities.
- Maintain and update the risk register to ensure all accepted risks are monitored.
- Be available for After Hour Support duties for possible risk based breaches.
- Extract key risk and audit data and distribute monthly audit dashboards.
- Keep abreast of legislation and other industry changes that impacts on role by reading the relevant newsletters; websites and attending sessions.
- Assist with maintaining the controls for Cyber Security Maturity Model.
- Coordinate risk-related meetings and manage related requests.
- Preparation of packs for representation for Executives and Management Team.
- Perform regular reviews of user access to critical systems to ensure that only authorised users have access to sensitive data and production environments.
- Document findings and work with system owners to revoke unnecessary access or adjust access as necessary.
- Assist with the creation, maintenance and delivery of cyber security awareness training for colleagues.
- Improve personal capability and stay abreast of developments in field of expertise by identifying training courses and career progression for self through input and feedback from managers.
- Ensure personal growth and enable effectiveness in performance of roles and responsibilities by ensuring all learning activities are completed; experience practiced, and certifications obtained and/or maintained within specified time frames.
