Job Purpose

  • To provide administrative and coordination support for learners across the business. This role ensures accurate record-keeping, effective learner support, and compliance with internal policies and legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Learner Administration

  • Maintain complete, accurate, and compliant learner records across all entities.
  • Support the onboarding and registration of new learners.
  • Track learner progress, attendance, assessments, and portfolio submissions.
  • Assist with learnership documentation, reporting, and compliance requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with learners and provide support with learnership-related queries and challenges.
  • Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and status updates for HR and line managers.
  • Respond to learner queries and escalate issues where necessary.
  • Ensure all learner files meet B-BBEE audit and regulatory standards at all times.

General HR Support

  • Provide administrative support to the HR department, including data capturing, system support, and policy-related administration.
  • Maintain clean, accurate, and compliant employee and learner records.
  • Handle learner and employee requests within scope and escalate where required.
  • Work proactively with HR team members to support shared objectives and deadlines.
  • Prioritise tasks effectively when working on joint projects.
  • Contribute to process improvements and effective information sharing within the HR team.

Job Requirements
Qualifications:

  • Matric (Grade 12).
  • Qualification in Management Assistant, Business Management, Human Resources, or related field (completed or in progress).

Experience:

  • Experience in an administrative position (Advantageous).

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • Basic knowledge of South African labour legislation and B-BBEE principles (advantageous).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team and manage deadlines effectively.
