Job Description
Marketing and Sales Operations:
- Collaborate with the marketing team, category buyers and suppliers to develop and implement omni channel sales strategies to drive advertising revenue, traffic and sales.
- Effectively plan, sell, and implement sales strategies to ensure a seamless customer experience across all channels.
- Ensure revenue targets are achieved and drive growth by selling all advertising opportunities.
- Coordinate and oversee the implementation of all marketing campaigns.
- Collaborate with the e-commerce team to optimize the online shopping experience.
- Ensure suppliers are billed for all marketing elements completed.
- Ensure that all relevant documents are saved on the relevant share drives.
Sales Operations:
- Build and maintain good relationships with suppliers and internal departments to drive sales and meet revenue targets
- Source advertising for both print, digital and social platforms in line with specific content planned, promotions, product launches, awareness and brand building initiatives.
- Effectively communicate with suppliers, buyers and co-departments regarding relevant marketing / advertising opportunities.
- Ensure deadlines, budgets and targets are adhered to.
- Compile booking forms, keep booking schedules updated and accurate at all times and liaise with suppliers and ad agencies to ensure all marketing material is submitted on time.
- Responsible to proof-read advertising material and ensure the approval processes are adhered to and any amendments on artwork are implemented.
- Ensure products advertised on the digital publications are listed online.
- Implementation of best practice guidelines and follow company processes.
Research & Continuous Improvement:
- Keep abreast of industry trends to contribute towards the quantitative and qualitative research and identify opportunities to enhance customer experience and grow market share on digital and print platforms.
- Analyse all digital and social activities and develop recommendations based upon the performance results and effectiveness in meeting business objectives.
- Utilise various Web analytic tools to measure the performance of campaigns.Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in omni channel sales.
Stakeholder Relationship:
- Serve as the key liaison between marketing, online, buyers, suppliers, and other internal departments.
- Build and maintain good relationships with all stakeholders.
- Liaise with stakeholders responsible for inbound workflow on new and upcoming work to effectively plan this into the current schedule.
- Effectively communicate regarding marketing campaigns, requirements and deadlines to internal and external stakeholders.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
Reporting:
- Provide post campaign reports to analyze overall performance and identify trends and opportunities for growth and make recommendations for improvement.
- Provide proof of campaign execution and full reports to suppliers.
- Monitor results of digital marketing campaigns and report any successes or shortcomings to the manager.
- Update the tracking documents and schedules daily.
- Compile any ad-hoc reports for management when required.
General:
- Adhere to Dis-Chem Policies, Standard Operating Procedures and Health and Safety rules and regulations.
