Formal Education:

  • Grade 12
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field

Languages:

Experience:

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience with B2B Sales in Software
  • Experience selling SaaS (Software as a Service) solutions (Advantageous)
  • Sales Experience in Industrial Sector (Advantageous)
  • Costing and estimation experience
  • Project Management Experience (Advantageous)
  • Marketing Experience (Advantageous)
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Identify and Pursue Opportunities: Research and identify potential clients and sales opportunities within various industries.

  • Sales Presentations and Demos: Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the value of our SaaS solutions.
  • Proposal Development: Prepare and deliver detailed sales proposals and quotations tailored to customer needs.
  • Close Sales: Negotiate terms and close sales to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Client Needs Assessment: Understand and analyse customer requirements to provide suitable solutions.

  • Product Knowledge: Maintain in-depth knowledge of our software solutions and stay updated with new features and developments.
  • Feedback Loop: Gather and communicate customer feedback to the product development team for continuous improvement.
  • Market Analysis: Analyse market trends, competitor offerings, and industry developments to inform sales strategies.
  • Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline status, and customer interactions in the CRM system.

  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of sales processes, proposals, and customer agreements.

  • Travel Expectations: Solutions engineers may need to support a wide geographic area, including international travel as needed. Historically, this travel ranged from 30% to 40%, but with more virtual work options now, travel is less common but still possible.
