Requirements:
- Relevant three year tertiary qualification (NQF6 – 360 credits) preferably with financial accounting as major
- Valid Code B driver’s license
- Computer literate
- Good communication, interpersonal and management skills
- Able to communicate in two of the official languages of the Western Cape
- Five years’ or more relevant experience required which includes two years of supervisory experience. Duties: Manage the administration of the Valuation Section to ensure that valuation rolls are executed according to the Municipal Property Rates Act, Rates Policies, Rates By-
Law and Regulations
- Coordinate and control the property rates and owner borne costs
- Control the implementation, capturing and testing of approved tariffs
- Perform monthly reconciliations
- Manage the Property Rates and Owner Borne Costs
- Ensure that debtor accounts are updated and correct
- Compile Financial Statements
- Expenditure and Asset Management
- Authorise the issuing of property rates clearance certificates
- Compile and submit reports
- Supervision
- Handle enquiries
