Skills and Competencies Required:

Leadership:

  • Lead by example.

  • Always be professional in the behavior to colleagues, clients, and suppliers.

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge and understanding of the basic engineering process and procedural requirement for the generational plant.
  • Knowledge and understanding of applied philosophies, practices and commissioning.
  • Knowledge on the principals of fault calculations and discrimination.
  • Knowledge of maintenance practices related to all equipment that PTM is mandated to maintain.
  • Knowledge on the use of the different equipment supplier software supplier.

Skill:

  • Lecturing and Presentation.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Fault analysis and decision making.
  • Basic hand tool and wiring skills. 
  • Be PC literate. 

Attributes:

  • For safety reasons candidate should be able to clearly identify different colours use to indicate plant status.
  • Must have the physical ability to handle monitoring and testing equipment. 
  • Must have the physical endurance when required to work in the plant.
  • Must be able to advise key stakeholders on the outcomes of fault analysis.  

Minimum requirements

Qualification(s):

  • BTech Engineering OR National Higher Diploma Engineering

Related Minimum Experience:

  • Five (5) years’ experience
