The role

We are expanding our data science and AI consulting team who are responsible for translating business problems into analytics solutions, tunring data into meaningful and actionable insights for our clients. As a Senior Analyst in the team you will:

• Work in collaboration with our team to deliver high quality analytics, from data quality assessment, data manipulation, method selection, design & application, insights generation and visualisation
• Provide technical leadership, coaching and task management for the team of analysts
• Support the Lead in solution design, business development and thought leadership for our South African clients
• Act as a trusted advisor with day to day client management, including scoping and presenting of work to clients
• We’ll also help you leverage our expertise, skills and technologies to nurture a well-rounded career with both a technical and client relationship focus.
   

The role is a technical client-facing one where you can bring analytical solutions and data science to bear on real-world commercial problems facing clients’ businesses.

The role will be a great fit if you…

• Have experience in a technical analytics environment working with large datasets to deliver insights, recommendations and solutions. Exposure to analytics products and delivery is also advantageous.
• Can code in one or more of the following programming languages; Python, SQL, R, Scala
• Have had some exposure to predictive modelling or machince learning applications – ideally at a bank or in financial services
• Have experience in successfully managing internal and / or external stakeholders, delivering projects, tasks and activities in a dynamic deadline-driven environment
• Understand business needs and can link them to the commercial impacts of different analytics solutions or approaches
• Want to develop your client management, relationship building, project delivery and presentation skills – this is a consulting role!
• Have a STEM background e.g. qualification in mathematics, statistics, actuarial studies, physics, engineering, computer science or a related discipline
