Senior Anthropology needed at North West Department: Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs

Job Purpose:

• To monitor implementation of anthropological, policy, governance and oversight services.

Requirements:

• Matric Certificate
• Diploma/Degree (NQF Level 6) in Anthropology and African History/Socio-Cultural Anthropology/Social Science in Anthropology as recognised by SAQA
• Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience at an Anthropologist level
• A valid driver’s license.

Duties:

• Review provision of anthropological research services
• Examine investigations on traditional leadership disputes
• Verify anthropological information management systems
• Maintain implementation of customary laws of succession and update genealogies of traditional communities
• Analyse reports on anthropological client inquiries.
