Key Performance Output

The successful candidate will be reporting to the First Electrician Electrical Maintenance, and will be responsible but not limited to the following:

• Manage availability, maintenance and safety of tools.
• Ensure implementation of continuous improvement of the equipment/infrastructure
• Input into maintenance planning, scheduling and execution of the asset.
• Ensure safe planned and unplanned maintenance activities
• Execute safe planned and unplanned maintenance activities.
• Monitor and manage quality of maintenance work.
• Utilisation of enterprise asset management system.
• Participate in failure investigation and root cause analysis.
• Implementation and execution of projects.
• Provide input into project design.
• Compile, analyse and submit incident reports
• Ensure compliance to relevant statutory/legislative regulations, SOP’s, operational standards, policies and practices.
• Coach and mentor junior staff and provide support when required

Technical Skills and Experience

The following skills and experience will be required:

• Grade 12 – National Senior Certificate (Essential)
• National Certificate Technical, Electrical is essential (Essential)
• Trade Test – Electrical (Essential)
• 3 years Maintenance experience post Trade Test qualification is essential
