Minimum Requirements    

• BEng Electrical Engineering (Essential/Minimum)
• Government Certificate of Competence: Engineering (Recommended/Desirable)
• 6-8 years of experience in maintenance, hazard identification, risk assessment, procurement, project engineering, contract, and project management (Essential/Minimum)
• Certification in Project Management (Recommended/Desirable)
• Management Development Programme accreditation (Recommended/Desirable)
• Membership with the Engineering Council of South Africa (PrEng) (Essential/Minimum)
• Psychometric Assessment (Essential/Minimum) To be conducted by Exxaro
• Certificate of Fitness (Essential/Minimum) To be conducted by Exxaro
• Proven ability to manage project budgets efficiently
• Experience in fostering professional networks and safeguarding intellectual property

Duties & Responsibilities    

• Ensure delivery of expert technical support in electrical engineering projects, contributing to business growth and operational excellence.
• Oversee the execution of fit-for-purpose engineering designs, ensuring compliance with legislative and company standards.
• Manage project budgets efficiently, ensuring cost recovery and adherence to financial parameters.
• Safeguard intellectual property and expand professional networks to foster engineering advancement and collaboration.
• Enhance technology capabilities by keeping abreast of technological innovations and integrating them into business processes.
• Participate actively in professional forums, educational relationships, and innovation processes to maintain industry leadership.
• Provide technical support and direction to project teams and business units, addressing technical challenges and enhancing operational performance.
• Ensure compliance with the Safety, Health, Environment, and Community policies, promoting a safe and healthy work culture.
• Drive functional excellence by standardizing and simplifying processes, promoting the sharing of best practices across the discipline.
