Job Description:

• We are seeking a Senior Generative Geologist – Opportunity Mapping.The core purpose of this role is to deliver actionable opportunities for superior value discovery; through systematic search space reduction within prioritised search space. This will be in collaboration with the Americas Generative and regional Discovery teams through mapping of technical quality, exploration maturity, explorability, above ground opportunities and risks (AGORA) and land access.

Key role requirements:

• Deliver actionable portfolio opportunities for investment and/or staking on an annual basis.
• Focused search space reduction and opportunity mapping within prioritized provinces and segments.
• Work collaboratively to support holistic mapping of opportunity space and drive project entry into actionable superior value discovery opportunities.
• Drive understanding of controls to development of superior value deposits at the district to prospect scale.
• Actively monitor and implement appropriate technology and innovation with application to search space reduction and opportunity space generation
• Actively monitor commercial opportunities in prioritised search space and support further development of intelligence systems for tracking the commercial opportunity space
• Develop and maintain relationships with 3rd parties holding land positions within prioritised search space.

Qualifications:

Formal Qualifications

• BSc in Geology.
• Advantageous – Post grad degree in Economic Geology.

Role-specific technical skills & knowledge:

• 5-10+ years’ experience with a focus on project generation, with specific experience across the Andes region.
• A demonstrated ability to apply leading edge systems thinking to define new search space for superior value discoveries and deliver actionable exploration opportunities.
• A strong understanding of geologically defined exploration scales and relevant geoscience techniques as applied to the exploration of the magmatic-hydrothermal, basin-hosted Cu, and orthomagmatic mineral systems for scale reduction and project generation.
• A proven working knowledge of geophysical methods and datasets for use in geologic and structural interpretations.
• Experience in working in difficult jurisdictions with respect to land, permitting, and communities across the Andes regions.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within cross-discipline teams to address critical questions.
• Spanish and English capabilities – written and oral.
• In depth experience applying geochemistry to search space reduction and targeting across scales.
• Experience integrating multidisciplinary datasets including geology (e.g., surface mapping, drilling), geophysics (e.g. magnetics, gravity, electro-magnetics), remote sensing (e.g. topography, spectral) and geochemistry (e.g., geochronology, surface anomalies)
• Greenfield exploration skills including adaptation of generative and evaluation skills (desktop and practical) from District to Prospect scales.
