Senior Lecturer/Lecturer: Mathematics and Mathematical Literacy (Senior Phase & FET) needed at Cape Peninsula University of Technology

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: SENIOR LECTURER

(Please note that preference will be given to candidates that meets the minimum requirements at Senior Lecturer level)

• A relevant Doctoral degree in Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy
• Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy as a major subject at undergraduate level
• A relevant teaching qualification  (preferable at secondary school level)
• Four (4) years relevant lecturing experience at tertiary level
• Publications in accredited and peer-reviewed journals over the last five (5) years (nationally and/or internationally).
• Post-graduate students supervised to completion relevant to the Education field (preferably in the field of SP FET)
• Experience in curriculum development
• Specialized knowledge of methodologies of teaching Mathematics and Mathematical Literacy

• A relevant Master’s degree in Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy
• Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy as a major subject at undergraduate level
• A relevant teaching qualification (preferable at secondary school level)
• Two (2) relevant lecturing experience in SP & FET at tertiary level or five (5) years’ relevant teaching experience at school level
• Specialized knowledge of methodologies of teaching Mathematics & Mathematical Literacy
