Senior Librarian: Information Technology and Systems (Re-Advertisement) needed at Cape Peninsula University of Technology

Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Minimum Requirements:

• 4-year degree qualification in computer science, information systems or information technology.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience with responsibilities of managing IT infrastructure.
• Knowledge of Linux system administration and maintenance of Linux and PHP based systems.
• Working knowledge of database systems such as MySQL, PostGres, ORACLE and SQL queries.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience with programming in PHP or Java or Python, HTML and XML.
• Evidence of Web design and Web scripting experience.

Recommendations:

• Experience with Data visualization software such as MS PowerBI or Tableau
• Experience with DSpace installations, maintenance and migrations
• A driver’s license will be an added advantage – for travelling across CPUT campuses
