Role purpose

The Senior Manager – Business Support (Hiport) oversees the Business Support Team, ensuring the efficient management and optimization of Hiport systems and processes. This role is responsible for analyzing and implementing changes requested by clients and internal teams, investigating operational queries, and liaising with Hiport’s vendor, to resolve issues and explore new functionalities.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Hiport specialists, ensuring high performance and collaboration.
  • Provide training and support to ensure the team is proficient in Hiport and business support processes.

System Management and Optimization:

  • Oversee the operation, maintenance, and enhancement of Hiport systems.
  • Ensure Hiport aligns with business needs and industry standards, coordinating with IT for updates and upgrades.

Issue Resolution and Vendor Management:

  • Investigate and resolve complex Hiport queries and operational issues, assisting teams in determining root causes.
  • Manage Hiport problems and bugs, logging them with the Vendor and overseeing the resolution process.
  • Coordinate and perform Hiport testing for bug fixes and system upgrades.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements within Hiport operations.
  • Analyze, test, and implement new Hiport functionalities and operational processes.
  • Manage changes through testing and implementation phases, performing post-implementation reviews.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Hiport-related queries and issues.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure Hiport meets these requirements.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Generate regular reports on Hiport usage, performance, and issues, providing insights and recommendations.
  • Support management with ad-hoc reporting and analysis needs.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure Hiport operations comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to Hiport usage and data management.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.

Requirements
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of experience in business support, system management, or a related role.
  • Extensive experience with Hiport or similar systems.
  • Strong understanding of data management principles and practices.
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite and other relevant software.
