Key Responsibility Areas:

• Assumes responsibility for the overall management of policy development processes. 
• Assumes responsibility for the overall management and consultation of stakeholders in policy development processes. 
• Co-ordination of policy and projects (alignment of projects to policy). 
• Formulates strategies for the effective management of policy and administration in consultation with the Director. 
• Implements the strategy, ensuring all functions in the policy and administration are appropriately grouped, allocating resources to the various divisions, defining areas of responsibility and resolving conflicts. 
• Monitors and reviews performance. 
• Assumes responsibility for the overall management of policy and administration budget. 
• Assumes responsibility for the overall management of an administrative system of the Directorate. 
• Presents progress reports to the Director.

Essential Requirements:

• Degree (NQF Level 7) in Public Administration or Public Management or Business Administration or any other related and equivalent qualification. 
• Valid motor vehicle driving license 
• 6 years relevant experience of which 2 years must be at a management level. 
• Computer Literacy.

Preferred Requirements:

• Post graduate qualification (NQF Level 8) in Public Administration or Public Management or Business Administration or any other related and equivalent qualification. 
• 7 years relevant experience of which 3 years must be at a management level.
