JOB PURPOSE
- We are looking for a Senior Manager – Product and Delivery with 15-18 years of experience to lead product and delivery functions across multiple squads. Reporting directly to the Head of Product Orchestration Design and Delivery, the role requires managing high-level strategic initiatives, ensuring cross-functional collaboration, optimizing resource utilization, and handling complex project delivery challenges. The Senior Manager will oversee end-to-end program delivery, align resources with business objectives, and drive operational excellence
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic Program Leadership
- Lead strategic group-level programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Craft a strategic roadmap that anticipates industry trends, identifies opportunities for innovation, and ensures the organisation’s competitive position.
- Executive-Level Collaboration
- Collaborate directly with senior executives to translate business strategies into actionable project deliverables
- Cross-Functional Leadership
- Build strong partnerships between product, development, QA, business analysis, and scrum masters, fostering cohesive, high-performing teams
- Create a culture of open communication and cooperation, ensuring that technology initiatives are closely aligned with the broader business objectives by breaking down silos, promoting cross-functional teamwork, and facilitating a shared understanding of how technology can drive organisational success
- Delivery Governance
- Set and enforce standards for delivery, managing resource allocation, timelines, and dependencies. Contribute to the maturity agile methodologies and the continuous improvement of development workflows
- Budget and P&L Management
- Oversee the financial health of programs and projects, managing budgets, Profit & Loss (P&L), and ensuring alignment with financial goals
- Monitor and report on financial performance metrics
- Resource and Capacity Planning
- Support leadership by providing insights into current and potential resource capacity, budget utilization, and optimization
- Ensure efficient allocation of resources across teams to maximize productivity and meet delivery objectives
- Be proficient in overseeing the performance of the entire department, ensuring that its activities align with the organisation’s strategic goals and objectives
- Define key performance indicators for the team, establish performance expectations, and implement mechanisms for regular evaluation
- Drive a high-performance culture, foster collaboration among team members, and provide strategic guidance to achieve departmental and organisational goals
- Risk and Issue Management
- Proactively identify risks and constraints, resolving issues to ensure successful program outcomes
- People Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of project managers, product leads, and other delivery professionals.
- Alignment of IT with Business Goals
- Ensuring that the IT strategy is closely integrated with and supports the overarching business objectives
- Identify opportunities where IT can contribute to business success, enhance operational efficiency, and drive innovation
- Risk Management
- Assess and mitigate risks associated with the organisation’s technology strategy and architecture
- Be well versed in industry regulations, security standards, and potential challenges that may impact the business
- Develop strategies to address risks, ensuring compliance, and implementing measures to safeguard the integrity and security of technology systems.
- Personal Capability Building
- Act as subject matter expert in an area of technology, policy, regulation, or operational management for the team and beyond in the function
- Maintain external accreditations and in-depth understanding of current and emerging technologies, external regulation, and industry best practices through continuing professional development, attending conferences, and reading specialist media
