Senior Manager: Research Management – (B806.1) needed at University of Mpumalanga

Job Primary Purpose

• The purpose of the position is to offer strategic coordination of research grants, professional and supportive administration of grants, and advancement and implementation of a grant management approach in support of research.
• Maintain reliable and useful knowledge management to ensure efficient information flow and accurate reporting on research grants.
• Administer all internal and external research grants, develop user-friendly business processes, while ensuring that policies and practices are implemented in line with best practice and University policies and procedures.

• Administration: Research funds.
• Monitoring: Research funds.
• Capacity building.
• Perform other duties as delegated by the line manager.

Minimum Requirements:

• A relevant M+4 (Honours).
• 7 years relevant experience.

Key Competencies

• Electronic General Ledger.
• Advanced grant management experience and skills.
• National Research Foundation grant management system.
• Advanced understanding of the national and international research finding landscape.
