Qualifications and Experience
- An undergraduate qualification (NQF 7) as recognized by SAQA in Public Management and Administration/ Business Administration/Economic Sciences/ Social Sciences/ Information Management
- A minimum of 8 years relevant experience in which at least (5) five years’ experience at middle or senior management level involved in strategy planning, monitoring and evaluation
- Extensive experience and exposure in Corporate Governance, Compliance and regulatory environment
- Advanced Public Sector experience in Strategy Planning, monitoring and evaluation
- Knowledge of Risk Management will be an added advantage
- A valid driver’s license.
Duties & Responsibilities
Strategic responsibilities
- Manage and maintain credible strategic planning processes for the Public Protector South Africa (PPSA).
- Ensure, monitor and report on the implementation of the Strategic Plan, Annual Performance Plan and Operational Plans.
- Coordinate the process of developing the strategic and annual performance plans for the PPSA.
- Provide strategic guidance and expert advice in terms of Strategic planning and development within the PPSA.
- Ensure the effective integration of strategic planning, annual performance planning, business planning and budgeting processes.
- General management of the Strategic Support Unit
Performance Monitoring
- Develop/ Maintain a framework/ system for monitoring and evaluating the performance of the PPSA on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of the PPSA
- Provide reports to various stakeholders on the performance of the PPSA
- Manage various strategic and institutional performance management events and projects/ programmes to compliance with the planning and reporting prescripts
