Senior Network & Security Infrastructure Engineer needed at Salt South Africa

Responsibilities

• Network & Infrastructure Design: Develop innovative and cost-effective Network and Client Connectivity solutions for optimal performance and resilience.
• Project Management & Risk Mitigation: Ensure timely project delivery, identifying risks and providing solutions.
• Security & Compliance: Maintain secure networks, adhere to best practices, monitor vulnerabilities, and optimize firewall rules.
• Analytics & Continuous Improvement: Manage and improve Analytics platforms for valuable business insights.
• Change Management: Drive adoption of new technologies and processes within the organization.
• Stakeholder Support & Consultancy: Provide expert guidance on Network & Client Connectivity infrastructure.
• Enterprise Architecture Alignment: Ensure network designs align with Enterprise Architecture strategy and maintain Technology Reference Models (TRM).

Requirements:

• CCNP, CCDP, ITIL, Azure Fundamentals, AWS Certification, or equivalent.
• Strong expertise in Cisco Technologies (Routers, Switches, Firewalls, IOS commands), networking protocols (OSPF, BGP, Anycast/Multicast).
• Understanding of financial industry connectivity requirements and enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF).

Experience:

• 10+ years in IT
• 6+ years in Network Administration
• 5+ years with Cisco Technologies
• Proven expertise in network protocols, security, automation, and hyperscale environments.
