- Minimum requirement of a relevant BTech degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Registration as a Professional Engineering Technologist with ECSA.
- Five (5) to eight (8) years’ relevant experience post first relevant tertiary qualification.
- Valid driver’s licence (Code B or C1 or EB).
Key Performance Areas
- Responsible for overseeing the maintenance, engineering, and lifecycle management of medium voltage (MV) electrical infrastructure, with a specialized focus on protection relays and schemes, and variable frequency controllers/ drives (VFD’s /VFC’s) within Water and Sanitation.
- Lead maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of protection systems associated with MV electrical systems, including switchgear, transformers and motors.
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies.
- Conduct Fault investigations, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring failures.
