Senior Professional Officer – Telecoms Voice Applications TNS Ref:CS 172/24 ext needed at City of Cape Town

• An appropriate 3 year tertiary qualification (B Degree/
  BSc/-Tech/Advanced Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Sciences or Electrical Engineering (light current)
• Coupled with 3 years of proven experience in the Telecoms Voice Applications Environment
• Code B drivers licence
• Knowledge of Electronic Communications Act, ICASA regulations and OH & S Act

Key Performance Areas:

• Ensuring ongoing support and maintenance of the City’s VolP Network.
• Performing the technical lead role for the expansion of the City’s VolP network.
• Compiling standard operating procedures, drafting tender specifications and management of tenders & contracts.
• Management of VolP Network projects and budgets.
• Engaging with VolP Network Users in the City.
• Ensuring that the City’s VolP Network infrastructure is managed effectively and efficiently.
• Managing and motivating VolP Network staff.
• Ensuring compliance with Electronics Communications Act e.g. ICASA VolP regulations.
