Required Skills and Competencies
- Experience and knowledge in policy development, outreach, and multilateral coordination, with strong skills in diplomacy and strategic engagement.
- Extensive experience working with multilateral organizations at the national, regional and international level.
- Experience in providing policy and strategic advice, especially within multilateral and regional settings.
- Proficiency in drafting and reviewing policy briefs, reports, MoUs, partnership agreements, and other multilateral documentation, ensuring alignment with programme objectives and adherence to international standards.
- Experience working on issues of SRH and applying a gender equality and human rights lens in programmatic and policy initiatives, including in humanitarian settings.
- Experience on promoting synergies between humanitarian, development, and peacebuilding actions, particularly in advancing the needs of young women and girls and addressing Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) in conflict and post-conflict contexts from an outreach perspective.
- Experience in working with development partners in the SRH space.
- Ability to diplomatically handle sensitive situations with target audiences and cultivate productive relationships.
- Excellent writing, facilitation, and presentation skills to provide effective leadership to the, articulate and promote AUDA-NEPAD and African sectoral positions, and compose and defend requests for support or particular actions.
- Experience in prudently managing organizational resources and deployment in pursuit of innovative approaches and initiatives.
- Excellent computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP ERP).
- High level of excellence, accuracy, attention to detail, and thoroughness.
- Excellent strategic visioning, planning, implementation, monitoring & evaluation, and reporting skills.
- High level of integrity and accountability, flexible approaches to work coupled with enthusiasm, commitment, and energy.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks and work under pressure with a wide range of individuals and institutions.

Education and Experience:
- Master’s Degree in Social Sciences, Public Health, Political Sciences, Public Policy, Legal Studies, International Relations or any other related field. Candidate must have at least seven (7) years post-qualification experience in leading a policy, legal advisory, or programme management function which three (3) should be at a supervisory within the public sector institutions, international organisations or similar organizations nationally, regionally and/or internationally.
Or
- A Degree in Social Sciences, Public Health, Political Sciences, Public Policy, Legal Studies, International Relations or any other related field plus a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant post qualification experience policy, legal advisory, or programme management within public sector institutions, international organisations or similar organizations nationally, regionally and/or internationally.
