Key Responsibility Areas

  • Manages and co-ordinates the Community Liaising Section, attends to queries from both the public and Council and provides support to Director (Development), Project Co-ordinator and Project Management Team.
  • Co-ordinates tasks and the performance of Community Liaison Officer and Development Facilitation Officer.
  • Co-ordinates and attends meetings of development projects, service providers, contractors and consultants, officials and councillors.
  • Conducts workshops on Housing, Capacity Building, Social Compacts and Government Housing Subsidies with the communities and Community Development Structures.
  • Liaises and resolves disputes relating to Development with communities and all individuals on specific issues pertaining to development.
  • Represents Council on outside Committees.
  • Keeping abreast of changes in legislation as well as the trends impacting or influencing the execution of key performance areas of the functionality.

Essential Requirements

  • Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Public Administration or Community Development or any other related and equivalent qualification.
  • Valid motor vehicle driving license.
  • 4 Years relevant experience.
  • Computer Literacy.

Preferred Requirements

  • Degree (NQF Level 7) in Public Administration or Community Development or any other related and equivalent qualification.
  • Project Management certificate.
  • 5 Years relevant experience.
