Senior Salesforce Architect needed at Capitec Bank

What You’ll Do

• Lead the development of Capitec’s Salesforce practice, including architecture, engineering, support, and delivery. 
• Drive technical and architectural discussions, ensuring hands-on involvement in engineering tasks. 
• Influence the strategic direction of domain architecture. 
• Develop and maintain architectural components aligned with SDLC principles. 
• Collaborate across engineering, architecture, and delivery teams.

What We Are Looking For
 8+ years of software development experience, including: 

• Hands-on Salesforce Architect, with deep expertise across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and custom Salesforce development. 
• Proven experience in designing enterprise-grade Salesforce solutions – scalable, secure, and aligned with agile delivery practices. 
• Strong background in software engineering and systems architecture. 
• Strong software engineering skills are a valuable asset. A background in development prior to working with Salesforce – especially experience with Java, Java Spring, or JavaScript is highly desirable.
• Deep understanding of Salesforce best practices, architecture patterns, and limits – including data modeling, sharing and visibility models, and performance optimization.
• Expertise in integrating Salesforce with external systems (REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, event-driven architectures, etc.). 
• Strong knowledge of DevOps within Salesforce:   CI/CD pipelines, version control, automated testing, and release management tools like Github or Salesforce DevOps Center.
• Skilled at balancing hands-on solutioning with high-level architectural leadership.
• Excellent stakeholder management – able to engage and influence both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Familiarity with security, compliance, and data governance within Salesforce.
• Experience with multi-cloud environments or enterprise-level Salesforce implementations is highly desirable.
• Salesforce certifications preferred (e.g., Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA), Application Architect, System Architect, or relevant specializations).
