Key Performance Output

The successful candidate will be reporting to the Manager Electrical Maintenance, and will be responsible but not limited to the following:

• Input into maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution of the asset.
• Ensure implementation of continuous improvement of the equipment/infrastructure.
• Adhere to relevant statutory/legislative regulations, SOP’s, operational standards, policies and practices.
• Determine, as part of cross-functional team, evaluation criteria and participate in evaluation and award of bids / tenders received.
• Provide input to and manage allocated budget (OPEX and CAPEX)
• Identify and report possible efficiency enhancements and initiatives to ensure resource savings.
• Report failures and engage with relevant stakeholders on failure findings.
• Assure stable employee relations by managing conflict and creating a positive working environment.
• Development and reviewing of scope and the formulation of, and management of maintenance contracts.
• Running of Capex Projects

Technical Skills and Experience

The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such will be required: 

• Bachelor’s degree (3 years-360 credits) in Electrical Engineering is essential.
• 5 years Operational experience in an Infrastructure Maintenance Environment is essential.
• 1-2 years Supervisory experience is recommended.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Intermediate knowledge of SCADA, PLC is recommended.
• Code B; Motor vehicle license is essential
