Role Requirements

To be considered for a senior role in Cytogenetics at Ampath, you must hold either:

• a National Diploma in Medical Technology with HPCSA registration as a Medical Technologist, or a BSc Honours degree with HPCSA registration as a Medical Scientist.
• You bring 5 years of experience in a Cytogenetics laboratory, including the analysis, verification, and sign-out of complex results for haematological malignancies and congenital abnormalities.
• You also provide expert training in chromosome analysis and assess staff competency, ensuring alignment with clinical and laboratory quality standards. This experience reflects your readiness to lead in a specialised, high-performance diagnostic environment.
