Senior UHT Technician needed at Lactalis South Africa

Required Skills    

• Millwright Trade test Certificate or multiskilled Fitter or Electrician, Diploma/Associated will be beneficial.
• Must have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience post apprenticeship in mechanical and electrical maintenance of Tetrapak & Combi bloc filling.
• Trade tested and qualified as a millwright or Electrician is essential.
• Proven background and demonstrated techniques to facilitate PLC fault finding is essential.
• Must have proven experience in Tetrapak & Combi bloc packaging equipment in a senior technician capacity.
• Prior working knowledge and experience in Pragma Maintenance System (or similar) would count in your favour.
• Exposure of / or background in a UHT/dairy production environment will be advantageous.
• Must be willing to work shifts, weekends, stand-by and overtime
• Excellent administrative skills, communication ability and able keep all internal administrative

Duties & Responsibilities    

• Scheduled maintenance of Tetra Pak & Combi bloc filling and downstream equipment.
• Support UHT Technicians & Millwrights.
• Maintaining/servicing & shift cover Tetra Pak & Combi bloc Filling lines.
• Energy optimisation.
• Assisting foreman in improving maintenance & production schedules.
• Maintenance on PLC systems.
• Standby duties.
• Tetra Pak & Combi bloc filling lines fault finding and rectification.
• Maintaining the UHT downstream equipment (main conveyors & palletisers); and
• Assist foreman in improving engineering spares stock holding.
