  • A competent SHE Officer is required to ensure a safe, compliant, and hazard-free working environment in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993.
  • The role encompasses conducting audits, inspections, and risk assessments; maintaining an up-to-date risk register; implementing corrective and preventive actions; and preparing all statutory and internal safety reports.
  • You will lead investigations into incidents and drive root-cause analysis. You will also deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and refresher training, promote ongoing safety awareness, support environmental and health surveillance programmes, and ensure contractor and visitor compliance.  
  • This position requires strong communication, sound judgement, initiative, solid report-writing ability, and the capacity to work under pressure while driving continuous improvement in safety performance.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Matric or NQF 4 equivalent
  • Health & Safety qualification
  • Minimum 5 years’ SHE experience
  • Training experience advantageous
